
Morocco and Congo have agreed to convene the Joint Cooperation Commission in the coming months,to boost and diversify the scope of their cooperation.
The decision was made by the two countries’ Foreign Ministers,Nasser Bourita and Constant-Serge Bounda,during a meeting they held in Rabat on Tuesday.
During their talks,described as fruitful,the two officials highlighted the depth and strength of the bonds of friendship binding the two countries,as well as the feelings of esteem and respect existing between King Mohammed VI and President Denis Sassou Nguesso.
They expressed satisfaction with the privileged nature of the cooperation relations between the two countries,as well as their determination to inject new momentum into them and make the Morocco-Congo partnership a model of inter-African cooperation.
The Congolese Foreign Minister,who is visiting Rabat to take part on Wednesday in the 2nd Conference on Peacekeeping in the Francophone Environment,told the media after the meeting that he discussed with his Moroccan peer several issues of common interest,particularly those related to the unity of the African continent and economic diplomacy between Congo and Morocco.
