Murder investigation launched after woman's body found near private member's club

A woman’s body has been found close to a private member’s club,with one man arrested as part of a murder investigation.

Police were called to Phyllis Court Drive in Henley-on-Thames shortly before 8am on Friday following the death of a woman.

She has yet to be formally identified,Thames Valley Police said.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

There will be an increased police presence in the area while detectives continue to investigate over the weekend.
