Lekganyane says next week Tuesday,the committee plans to feature Paul O'Sullivan. The committee said if they could not secure him,they would have other activities.
The committee will hear public submissions. It will be determined by the close of business tomorrow what will be the way forward.
(O'Sullivan is abroad and wants to testify via a virtual platform. The committee wants to see him in person.)
Lekganyane says that by next Monday,the committee will have only 10 days for hearings,so they can't miss any of them.

Evidence leader advocate Bongiwe Mkhize wants to clarify the timeline of Mkhwanazi's relationship with Matlala.
Mkhwanazi says that since 2023,there has been no communication.
They first met in late 2021 at Matlala's office.
In April 2022,it was the state of the city address.
On 15 June,Matlala wrote the letters to initiate the registration of the cars.
In August,Matlala gave him the money for the funeral.
Mkhize says by the time Matlala gave the money,he was already doing business with the city.

Lekganyane says CI head Dumisani Khumalo told the committee Matlala was involved in drug syndicates.
Mkhwanazi says he doesn't want to be involved with that; he is fighting crime,he can't be supporting it indirectly.
Lekganyane says the same hand that dealt drugs that destroyed young people's lives,gave him money.
Mkhwanazi: "It's bad,chair. It's not even bad; it is worse than the word bad."
