The Independent Power Producers (IPP) Office has been announced as the headline sponsor of the 2025 Youth Energy Summit (YES!),reinforcing its commitment to community development and the integration of Africa’s youth at the heart of the continent’s energy future. The event, scheduled for June 18–20 in Cape Town, will bring together over 3,000 graduates, young professionals, and entrepreneurs to tackle the most pressing energy challenges of the 21st century.

With more than 50% of Africa’s population still lacking access to electricity and the continent holding vast untapped renewable energy potential,Africa stands at a historic crossroads—turning the energy gap into an opportunity to create up to 100 million green jobs by 2050. The summit aims to be the world’s largest youth-focused forum in the energy sector, with a mission to close the skills gap and ensure youth voices are represented at the highest levels of energy decision-making.
