Nearly 17,000 Brazilian tourists visited Morocco during the first four months of this year,said Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT),noting that this number represents a 48 % increase compared to same period of last year.
In April,Brazilian tourist arrival spiked by 41% to reach 4,870 tourists against 3,465 in April 2024. Yet,inbound Brazilian tourists represent a small share of the 5.7 million tourists who visited the North African Kingdom during the first four months of 2025.
Located in North Africa,bordering both the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea,Morocco,with its pristine beaches,bustling markets and stunning history,attracted 17.4 million tourists last year,
In 2024,Morocco welcomed 40,277 Brazilian visitors,a 7% increase compared to 37,750 in 2023. This growth comes following the strategic initiatives launched by ONMT,including the opening of a São Paulo office in May 2024 and the resumption of Royal Air Maroc’s direct Casablanca-São Paulo flights on December 7,2024,operating three times weekly.
By leveraging its rich cultural heritage,history,and cuisine,as well as its proximity to Europe,Morocco aims to reach 100,000 Brazilian tourists within three years with the major sports events scheduled in the country.
