The Moroccan-Spanish joint military commission held its 11th meeting at the General Staff headquarters of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) in Rabat to deepen dialogue and strengthen military cooperation between the two countries’ armies.
Members of the commission reviewed results of the 2024/2025 program and discussed activities planned for 2026. They lauded the progress achieved and reaffirmed their shared commitment to expanding further military cooperation.
On the sidelines of the meeting,Lt. General Mohamed Berrid,Inspector General of the FAR & Commander of the Southern Zone,met with Lt. General Fernando José Lopez Del Pozo,Director General of Defense Policy at Spain’s Ministry of Defense.
They discussed regional security issues and stressed the importance of their partnership in promoting regional stability. Military cooperation between Morocco and Spain focuses on training,the exchange of expertise & official visits,as well as air-sea rescue exercises.
