Morocco & Finland looking forward to strengthening partnership

Ways of enhancing further cooperation ties between Helsinki and Rabat were at the center of talks held Monday in Rabat by visiting Minister for Foreign Trade of Finland Mr. Ville Tavio with several Moroccan officials.

Mr.Tavio met with foreign minister Nasser Bourita. They discussed political relations,regional cooperation prospects,shared global priorities and ways of reinforcing diplomatic partnership.

He also met separately with minister of Industry & Commerce Ryad Mezzour,Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Omar Hejira,minister of digital transition Ms. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni,and minister of energy transition Leila Benali.

Talks focused on ways of boosting trade exchanges and cooperation prospects in digital transformation,AI,e-governance,5G,renewable energy,green technologies,sustainability and climate-smart solutions.

These strategic meetings are reflecting the shared commitment of Morocco and Finland to build a forward-looking partnership based on innovation and sustainability,and serving mutual growth.

“Morocco,gateway to Africa,is an interesting market for Finnish operators. The country is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup 2030 with Spain and Portugal. This involves several infrastructure projects for which Finnish businesses have excellent solutions to offer,” said Minister Tavio.
