EU joins sponsors of African Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco

The European Union has become the latest sponsor of the African Cup of Nations 2025,which will be organized in Morocco next December.

A deal has been signed with the African football federation (CAF),under which the EU will also sponsor the 2027 African Cup of Nations,the women’s African cup and the African school football tournament,CAF said in a statement.

“Our Partnership reflects the mutual commitment of CAF and the European Union to the development and growth of African Football,schools,and Youth Football and the expansion of the cultural,trade,and investment relationships between our two continents,” CAF chief Patrice Motsepe said.

The 2025 tournament in Morocco is officially named the TotalEnergies 2025 Africa Cup of Nations,continuing the long-standing partnership between CAF and the energy company.
